Greetings Parents,
Each Monday, I will post updated information on my website for the week. My intention is to post this information by 9:00 A.M. each Monday. In addition, I plan on utilizing Google Classroom to post lessons and activities for the week for each subject area. Since the students are very familiar with Classroom, this will be the easiest way for them to access the information and assignments. As part of being available for questions, I will have office hours each week to address student or parent questions. My office hours will be Mondays from 9:00-12:00 and Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00. If I need to change these hours, I will notify everyone by email well in advance.
Please let me know if you have questions or if the amount of work is too much, and I will make adjustments. Finally, if you would like your child to have paper packets, please let me know, and we will notify you when they will be available to be picked up. For those students who have Mrs. Green for math, please follow the instructions that she provides.
Thank you.

Dear Parents,
The first week of school is always exciting, and I am sure that the students are looking forward to getting reacquainted with old friends and making new ones.
As your child’s teacher, I would like to introduce myself to you and tell you that I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know your child. My name is Paul Clark, and this is my 12th year at Carroll Manor Elementary School. I have taught 5th grade in Frederick County for 19 years, including seven years at Lincoln Elementary School. Prior to coming to Frederick County, I taught 4th grade in Baltimore City for three years. However, I actually began teaching in Taiwan, where I taught English for three years.
I am looking forward to teaching your child and believe in setting high, but appropriate, expectations for your child. By working together, we can ensure that your child has a rewarding, productive and enjoyable school year.
If you need to contact me, you may email me at [email protected] or phone me at (240) 236-3872. The phone does not ring in the classroom during instruction, but I will return your call as soon as I am able.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Paul S. Clark
